White Hart Lydgate Wedding

I had the absolute joy of photographing Martha and Sam’s wedding at The White Hart Lydgate, and honestly, it was one of those days that makes you love what you do even more. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the excitement in the air — the laughter, the happy chaos of getting ready, and the little details that make a wedding so personal. I always love capturing those unguarded moments, and Martha and Sam didn’t disappoint.

Martha was glowing, surrounded by her friends, with every detail of her dress, shoes, and bouquet absolutely perfect. I snuck in a few fun behind-the-scenes shots during preparations — makeup, buttons, and the inevitable “don’t trip!” moments — all of which tell the story of the day just as much as the ceremony itself. The White Hart Lydgate is such a gorgeous venue; the rustic beams, stone walls, and rolling hills outside gave us endless opportunities for dreamy, natural photos. I couldn’t resist grabbing some romantic shots of Martha and Sam outdoors at sunset — a little black-and-white magic never hurts either!

Inside, the ceremony and reception were full of warmth and laughter. Guests in their soft pink dresses, heartfelt speeches, and spontaneous dancing created a joyful, relaxed vibe that I absolutely adore capturing. I love being able to blend in, letting the day unfold naturally, so couples can just enjoy themselves while I document the story as it happens.

Martha and Sam’s wedding was a perfect example of why I love my job: genuine emotion, laughter, and love, all in a day that felt effortlessly beautiful. The White Hart Lydgate provided the perfect backdrop, and these two made it shine. Days like this remind me why I love being behind the camera — and yes, it’s just as fun as it looks!
