What is branding photography?
So, what actually is branding photography?
Well, it’s basically a fancy way of saying photographs that show the real person behind your business.
It’s so much more than a headshot. Yes, we’ll get some lovely portraits of you, but we’ll also photograph you doing your thing — whether that’s making something, working with clients, packing orders, creating, designing, drinking an unreasonable amount of tea or just generally doing all the things that make your business yours.
I want your photos to feel natural and like you, rather than a collection of really posed, corporate-looking images that you don't feel comfortable using.
We can photograph your workspace, your products, the tools you use, the little details you love and all those behind-the-scenes bits that help tell your story.
The end result is a bank of lovely, useful images that you can use across your website, Instagram, social media, newsletters and marketing — so you're not desperately scrolling through your camera roll every time you need something to post!
What happens during a branding photoshoot
A typical branding photoshoot usually lasts around 1–2 hours, depending on how many different looks, locations, or setups we’re planning on the day. It’s all kept nice and flexible so we can work with what feels right for you rather than sticking to anything too rigid.
I like to take my time with it so nothing ever feels rushed or overly posed. The aim is always to create images that feel natural and genuinely reflect your personality and your brand. We’ll move at a relaxed pace throughout the shoot so you can feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, and so the whole experience feels easy rather than awkward or staged.
By the end, you’ll have a full gallery of branding images that not only look great but actually feel useful too—something you’ll be excited to use across your website, social media, and marketing.
