RUSTIC, QUIRKY & UNIQUE WEDDING VENUES IN LANCASHIRE

While looking for my own rustic wedding venue in and around a few different Counties in the North of England, I have decided to compile a list to help other couples out there searching for their dream venue. It only seems appropriate to start with my home County, Lancashire.
This alternative rustic wedding venue have quite a relaxed view to holding weddings. They don’t charge for room hire and they are very reasonable for catering. This working venue is extremely self-sufficient, they produce all the food in the kitchen themselves which ranges from the bakery to the ice cream parlour.
For a seated meal they can accommodate from 70-120 guests which can increase to 150 with the arrival of evening guests. This venue is definitely different and you can put your own fabulous touch on this working farm venue.
BROWSHOLME HALL & TITHE BARN
Browsholme Hall, Clitheroe Rd, Cow Ark, Clitheroe, Lancs, BB7 3DE.
If you enjoy history and rustic then this wedding venue might be what you are looking for. Built in 1507, Browsholme Hall is the oldest surviving family house in the whole of Lancashire. On the estate also is the truly breath taking 17th Century restored and converted Tithe Barn, harbouring beautiful original features such as oak beams and flagstone flooring that could be the backdrop to your wedding day.
With the capacity to seat between 120-200 guests, innovative lighting, video & sound system and catering facilities, this venue is perfect for a showstopper of a wedding.

CHARNOCK FARM RESTAURANT
Charnock Farm, Wigan Rd, Leyland, Lancs, PR25 5DA.
This lovely venue encompasses details of an old rustic barn with its high vaulted ceiling, oak beams and exposed red brick, but is set within a more modern location.
This venue can accommodate 100 guests for your civil ceremony and wedding breakfast, increasing up to 150 for evening guests.
This family run business have professionally trained coordinators to help from start to finish with the preparations of your day. Plus their own qualified chefs and own private bar.
If accommodation is high on your list of priorities, for guests who want to stay, they also offer 12 en-suite bedrooms as well as a bridal suite for the newlyweds.
THE OUT BARN AT CLOUGH BOTTOM
Clough Bottom, Talbot Bridge, Clitheroe, Lancs, BB7 3NA.
This very unique wedding venue embraces traditional materials with a modern twist using environmentally friendly building elements.
This exclusive use venue means the planning of your wedding day doesn’t last for one day only, but for a whole weekend. This gives you chance to be hands on in setting up, and a day after to wind down and take in becoming a married couple.
The Out Barn will accommodate around 120 guests for a wedding breakfast, or if you plan on having a large celebration there is plenty of scope for a Marquee/Tipi overlooking the views of Pendle Hill and surrounding farmland.
Rivington Hall Barn, Rivington, Bolton, Lancs, BL6 7SB
This delightful Grade II listed building has some fabulous features such as magnificent Saxon beams, subdued atmospheric lighting, spot lighting and coloured up lighting to create a very stylistic ambiance.
This venue is set within stunning countryside and woodland area, giving you a gorgeous backdrop for your photographs. Not to mention the manicured lawn area outside Rivington Hall where your guests can enjoy refreshments in the sunshine.
Invite between 85-200 guests to your ceremony and wedding breakfast, increasing up to a whopping 380 for the evening reception. This venue has it all, the style, the countryside location, the capacity and a fabulous wedding team.

THE GREAT HALL AT MAINS
The Great Hall at Mains, 86a Mains Lane, Little Singleton, FY6 7LE.
The Great Hall doesn’t get its name for no reason, this venue boast an abundance of fabulous features such as the vaulted high timber framed ceiling, soft rich tapestries, and a stone fireplace which you will take centre stage in front of for your vows.
Set next to the River Wyre, this venue has stunning landscaped grounds and an original Victorian walled garden, which will sure enough make you feel like you are in a novel.
Licensed for civil and partnership ceremonies, 200 of your guests can be seated for the wedding breakfast, which can be increased to a grand 300 guests for the evening.
THE WELLBEING FARM, BOLTON

Want a country chic wedding with some real farm details, then 'The Wellbeing Farm' might just be for you. With wood clad walls and hay bale seating teamed with a draped fabric ceiling and oodles of fairy lights, this venue is the perfect combination of County and Chic.
Love animals? They also have llamas and donkeys who won’t mind having their photograph taken with the happy couple too.
This exclusive use venue is also great on a sunny day, allowing you to keep your guests entertained with garden games whilst they bask in the stunning countryside views.
